The Municipality of Bologna has once again been a pioneer in the management of Instagram , involving the community and the city's igers, also because, as Luca confirms, "for those who are always in the office, it is difficult to photograph the beauties of Bologna". Thus, in 2015 the Municipality's profile launched "My Bologna" (the hashtag #MyBologna has 127,567 posts), an initiative with which it asked people to apply as reporters to be able to manage the official channel of the Municipality of Bologna independently and directly. posting for about a week. “We were the first to do it and the risks were not few, we could have feared the worst, but instead it went very well and we had a good response. The initiative went on for a year, many applications were received and it has been consolidated as a method since 2016: our team, in fact, is supported by around 15 people who, free of charge, publish on the Instagram profile of the Municipality of Bologna . It is a shared management that was greatly appreciated and has been proposed again by many administrations , in Italy, such as Turin, Trieste, Biella and Rimini, but also abroad, as happened with the municipal administration of Lyon, whose experience it was told in the degree thesis of a student at the University of Bologna”, says Luca.
We close our chat by talking about updates on digital Panama mobile number list communication , an aspect that is unfortunately lacking in public administration, based on Luca's experience, who explains: "this part is left to the initiative of individuals: for our team it is fundamental, because being always in the office, sometimes we lose contact with the citizens and new ideas may be missing, so we look at how others work, we are attentive to innovations and we are inspired by others , from the small municipality to the big city, from the museum to the region or the economic entity. However, our country stands out positively because, excluding the United States, the large European cities are not as active as we are on social media : "on this we can say that Italy is ahead", underlines the municipality's social media manager from Bologna. And it is precisely by always looking ahead that Luca anticipates some future projects, such as the idea of introducing the Municipality's social profiles into Facebook groups for targeted communications, or of investigating the potential of social bots : "We could create an event - we comment - entitled “artificial intelligence in public administration”.
It seems to work! We have many new curiosities in mind, but we say goodbye with a consideration, that is, how important it would be for all citizens with social profiles to follow the channels of their municipality : "some people complain because they are not informed about news, events, changes in traffic and opportunities that their city offers. This is why I believe that if they signed up to the official channels of their municipality, we could work very well together, making the public service even more useful and widespread, as was the case in our case on 6 August 2018 on the occasion of the tragic accident on the ring road. of Bologna, so the official channels were managed in real time as a space to find information and indications on the emergency". Even in these situations, remembering common sense, whereby the objective of the social media manager of a PA in the face of similar events must not be to make a fuss and increase reactions and comments, perhaps by using a tragic photo on a post, but provide a truly punctual and valid service for citizens. “Because the Municipality belongs to everyone ”, underlines Luca Zanelli.
